One thing that has always been important to me , is respect for our service men and women as well as the service our veterans sacrificed for the safety peace and well being of Our America.
Our America... do you love it here in this land of the free and home of the brave?
Our America.... do you or have you ever read the constitution of the United States?
Can you recite a few of the words of the preamble .... we the people in order to create a more perfect union ....
Did you vote last week ?
Were you an informed voter?
When at a sporting event and the National Anthem is played to you recite the words or even sing along?
How about the Pledge of Allegiance.?
Do you realize freedom isn't free? Do you realize men and women are serving in the desert in the mountains and in the horrid places of the middle east right now ! ? They haven't seen their loved ones for months.... Do you intercede for their safety peace and well being ? Do you support their family members who remain out of touch with their loved ones for weeks days and even months at a time...
I believe in this country. I believe in the way it was founded and built. I believe it is my responsibility to be informed , conscious and willing to do my part to make things safe and hopeful for following generations. To leave a foot print of integrity and honesty that make my daughter and other young people proud to be American as well....
I believe we must work hard and diligent to keep the earth clean and free of unnecessary garbage.
Even though I do not agree with all the political jargon happening in Washington , I do believe it is my responsibility to hold those elected officials in fervent prayer to be surrounded by Godly counsel and wise men.
Thank you veterans and service men and women... I am proud of you. Proud of what you are doing for us. Your unwilling sacrifice and willingness to serve.
God Bless you on Veteran's Day
God please continue to bless the United States of America.

There is a chill in the air
Hi Friends.
Nice to sit down a minute to post a few thoughts in this crazy place. Posted more this week than I have all year. By the time November is over I will have posted more in a month than I have in 2 years.... Kimmy challenged me to this and I just couldn't say No ....
I practice saying that word occasionally, however it doesn't always work out too well...:)
SO how are you this Friday night ? I'm good . Been messing around with a headache in the back of my head now since at least Tuesday. I'm trying a cocktail of 1 Tylenol and 2 aleve 2 x's a day.. Not working out so well. Today I broke down and took 2 Tylenol at lunch. I told my mom over the phone I think I'm having an aneurysm. ? Not really I know , but a constant headache is not cool.
The store has been great this week. I am trying to prepare for Christmas decorating at the Inn. However , Not working too well as people continue calling, and ordering arrangements. :) No I love every minute of it ! I would be no where with out those calls....
On a light note had a curious call from an eager bride yesterday , whose wedding is not until JULY !!! I'm all for planning ahead. Send me a deposit. Hold the day in my calendar for yourself and then .... we can chat about your vision in May !!! Not that I don't care, because I totally do care, I'm just a little busy right now and would rather wait until after the holidays . But she is coming in this week because she is just too excited to wait!
Should be fun.
By the way I don't have my book with me but I think I am totally booked all of June and it's not even January yet!
Tomorrows wedding will be beautiful all red and white. she is a delight to work with as the bride, makes our journey to the wedding day much more tolerable. :) If they all were just as fun....:)
Well if I knew how to post pictures I surely would but I surely don't so I surely won't . !
Be Blessed Stay warm tonight ..
Goodnight ...

How about this....
Keeping up my end here, although we are not one entire week into the month yet, however I am still keeping up with my posts!
A fun thing happened to a special young lady in my world today. Lauren , is a high school senior at Leetonia HS . She has helped me in the flower shop since May. She started the weekend we had 2 crazy big weddings, and she came back again and again so I must not freaked her out too bad ! Any way Lauren or "Lornan" as her little cousin calls her was tapped into NHS today ! Congratulations to her.... What an awesome accomplishment! Proud of her .
When Holly was in High School and waiting for the NHS appointment letter she looked at every piece of mail that graced our mail box. She scoured for that letter and was so terribly miserable that it indeed never arrived.. She waited, whined , paced and fussed for a month waiting for the " letter " to appear. Little did she know it had come and in a timely fashion I might add, I took the letter to work at Something New where I knew it would never find her little hands. I could keep the National Honor Society Induction a BIG SECRET from her... In 2006 Kenny still had his vision and was driving. He planned to leave work early that day as I also dressed up a bit and planned on leaving the flower shop in order to make it to the assembly. We thought we were so sly ~ keeping this big accomplishment from her and all. I was so excited.
The day before the assembly Holly happened to drop into the shop just to say Hello. While during her visit one of my coworkers congratulated her on her huge accomplishment of NHS. The month long surprize was immediately O V E R . Blown .... out of the water...... she knew. All the crazy effort put into keeping the secret now ca put. Fine' . sad. I tried so hard to make it a surprize.... :) Is she any different now from knowing ? Eh .... Probably not ... she is a delight either way. But when she was inducted we thought it was pretty cool.
Many things in life bring us pride. Most definitely National Honor Society is one of those. :)
Congratulations Lornan. Good Job.
Congratulations Holly ..... 4 years ago.
I'm proud of you both.

Noproblomo
So my friend Kimmy suggested I try to blog every day for the month of November. Those of you who know me well know how crazy busy I am this month every year.... as it proceeds the month of December... The biggest decorating month of the year! As to this end I am attempting. Some days may only be a sentence or two. Maybe a paragraph if I'm lucky, hopefully thought provoking.
Today's insight finds it's way back to The Ursuline Mother House pool. I substituted for the regular instructor tonight. However that was one of my former jobs. I believe about 13 years or so. I left last December when things at The Dutch Tulip became too busy for me to continue. When she called to ask ~ I jumped at the thought . Missing my ladies so much. I wanted to wait ample time prior to going back as I didn't want to create any ill feelings toward my replacement. But it was good to see them tonight. A little older, wrinklier, skinnier, chubbier, happier, grump yer , smarter.... and yes louder. My throat is scratchy as I had to yell over the talking and crying baby and all. :) But fun. Something about being vulnerable and in a bathing suit that makes your life an open book that in turn you must divulge every secret known in your heart. Actually it is therapeutic as well as healthy. I do believe I have lost # since being there only to have lost muscle mass and turn it into pure fat... :) 6 hours of pretty intense workout was a little too much. Now I would like to just do an hour or so 4 times a week ! By Myself.... thank you very much. No random injuries rashes sore toes, fingers or random things I'd rather not mention... :) Fun though. The ladies are my extended mothers grandmas and aunties.... Fun times..... be blessed this night .. I'm exhausted ...... 6 :15 will come way too early ....

Frosty mornings
Good day. I just so enjoy a brisk frosty morning. You know when you have to start the car 10 minutes before leaving home in order to thaw it off. Thank Goodness Kenny doesn't mind doing that for me. I appreciate his chivalry . However I do so hate it when folks don't scrape their own windows off. In fact quite makes me CRAZY. I actually saw a teenager driving to Columbiana High School with her window down , head out of the car driving because there is too much ice on her windshield.......
Would she rather be dead than late for the bell.... hmmmmm I'm thinking her mom and dad might want to help her out a bit with and ice scraper.... It could be a stocking stuffer, but it also could be a necessary tool in which she should use prior to leaving the driveway....
Things that make you go hmmmmm....
Have a good day.

Burned Biscuits -- Author Unknown
When I was a kid, my mom liked to make breakfast food for dinner every now and then, And I remember one night in particular when she had made breakfast after a long hard day at work. On that evening so long ago, my mom placed a plate of eggs, sausage and extremely burned biscuits in front of my dad. i remember waiting to see if anyone noticed !! Yet all my dad did was reach for his biscuit and smile at my mom and ask me how my day was at school. I don't remember what I told him that night, but I do remember watching him smear butter and jelly on that biscuit and eat every bite !
When I got up from the table that evening, I remember hearing my mom apologized to my dad for burning the biscuits . I'll never forget what he said: " Honey I love burned biscuits."
Later that night, I went to kiss daddy good night, and I asked him if he really liked his biscuits burned. He wrapped his arms around me and said, "Your momma put in a hard day at work today and she is real tired... and besides, " a little burned never hurt anyone..."
Life is full of imperfect things and imperfect people. I'm not the best at hardly anything, and I forget birthdays and anniversaries just like everyone else. But what I've learned over the years is that learning to accept each others faults- and choosing to celebrate each other's differences - is one of the most important keys to creating a healthy, growing and lasting relationship.
And that's my prayer for you today. That you will learn to take the good with the bad and the ugly parts of your life and lay them down at the feet of God. Because in the end, He is the only one who will be able to give you a relationship where a burnt biscuit isn't a deal - breaker!
We could extend this to any relationship... In-fact, understanding is the base of any relationship, be it husband - wife, parent - child - work - friendship.....!
"Don't put the key to your happiness in someone Else's pocket-- keep it in your own!"
So please pass me a biscuit, and yes the burned one will do just fine.
and please pass it along to someone who has enriched your life.
Be kinder than necessary because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.

pretty fall morning sunrise
It is a beautiful sunrise here on Echohill. Seems these last few weeks have produced some beautiful sunrises ! Simply breathtaking. I am blessed... I have had a few days off this weekend and I am thoroughly enjoying this time to re group, re focus and get it all together. We still have weddings coming , several of them actually, but the " big ones " are successfully completed. To look back at this past summer, wow. Accomplished some beautiful work. I appreciate the hard work of my girl Holly and Lauren to help me get it done. I wouldn't have been able to do it with out them that is for sure. I have The Dutch Tulip continually on my mind and this weekend I was able to put it a little bit to the side as I went to the Women of Faith Conference, What a blessing to be with 6000 other women praising the Lord and there for one purpose. Too magnify the Lord Jesus Christ in their life, in their circumstance and in their world. Young , old , handicapped and happy, sad struggling. In every phase of their life in every position of ability. and also at every level of their faith. What a marvelous tool to reach so many people at so many levels. A great opportunity to share His Mercy and His Grace with one another, One of the key not e speakers has recently suffered an enormous tragedy in her family. ( her husband was with her too ) As well as two of her sons. A few years ago their youngest son ran over his baby sister in the driveway of their home. Can't imagine the loss . But truly a blessing of hope , forgiveness and mercy. I learned much about the Proverbs woman. pretty direct and frankly right between my eyes. I learned about being a friend in my 40s . Similar to any other time in my life . This speaker gave a few new perspectives on loving openly, giving freely and receiving the blessings form another.
I learned of unmet realities that we almost fully anticipate to be met and missing that mark and their feeling that God isn't there that his provision over me isn't what i would normally anticipate but all in all it is , he is and and he hears. There are so many things I heard it will take me a week to pick through them all. I traveled with my Aunt and cousin and their church ladies. it was fun to reconnect with Aunt Laura. I see her but I don't have the opportunity to spend a few days with her . That was good too, Kind of wishing my bible study Friends were there. I thought of the 3 of them continually. Things I heard that I thought would speak to each one of their hearts. I f only I could share with them. The Lord knows their hearts better than me , so I pray he is able to speak to them through me the things they would need to hear.
Well I have great expectations for this day. I would like to get this house cleaned up. Some laundry done and ironed and put away. The animals taken care of and the dinner prepared. Can I do it ???? I will surely try... Be blessed this day my friend,, Love to you this pretty Monday morning. ~J

I kind of feel guilty
Hi everyone,
Geeze oh man it has been crazy busy around here. I so love my mondays and I am so sorry that it only averages once a month that I'm able to post an update on our busy lives. Mondays are a welcomed rest in the midst of my week. However the house needs such attention and the laundry and the barn, and the van, and I should be cooking and and and ....the list is endless. But,,,,
I am so blessed.
Life is great, busy happy , business is great, also busy happy. just this weekend we had linens only for two weddings at the inn, I had one really pretty wedding off site at the Good Hope Lutheran Church and the reception was at The Georgetown. As well as 2 baby showers at the inn on Sunday ! whew~
Now this week a big wedding on Saturday and we continue down the "wedding river " in our sturdy canoe ! I am thrilled to see the people come to the shop and I ask how they know I'm there, some are word of mouth , some had been to the showcase open house. Some just happen to be in the Inn to book their event and come across the hall !
So happy and so blessed.
On another note , Mom and Rich got in last night . YAY ! I have missed her this year, it has been a long year for them. They look great, a little thin but that's a good thing. Duchess seems happy and healthy as well. We sat for a long time at Doug and Mar's just visiting. My van is full of things she thought I could use, maybe need... I have so much to do today. It is an endless list!
Well my blogger friends, it will probably be another month till we meet again, but in the mean while check out Facebook, The Dutch Tulip has a page as well as myself,, If you need to be updated a little more often check that out. You'll feel a little more connected.
Be Blessed this day.

Wedding River
Hi everyone,
I am calling this July 12th Monday morning the wedding river. Seems as tho I am in the midst of a raging river ride down stream in a lovely canoe... All is well. I am safe and sound, the boat is sturdy and I have the guidance available to make a safe journey, and it has been a very good trip so far. a few bumps and a little rapid here and there, but that is the way most river rides are, ! Let me share a few statistics with you. I have completed (I think) now about 27 events, that is anything over 200.00 wedding, graduation party, shower, anniversary, etc. We have now booked our 65th. The Lord is responsible for this success. Praise Him, this is amazing. I had no idea it would take off like this, . How great is our Lord to bless The Dutch Tulip with this much business. People just walk in ! I am so happy. It is really really great, Thanking Him for my ability to continue to be creative and to continue to offer a new idea incorporating the brides wishes.
To say the very least, I am Soooo Excited !
Things on the homefront are terrific as well. Holly and Mike are settling in to their new home, Mikes grandpa's farm. Discussions of a marriage are everywhere, but still no ring and no definite plans. They have a new puppy , and I find myself totally and utterly infatuated with her. She is a Golden Retriever. Her name is Golden Easter's Lily of Calcutta Farms. Her name is Lily. and affectionately known as "lily bean". Precious Precious Precious.
Holly begins her student teaching experience at Canfield High School in September. We are really excited about that as well. How 3 years of college has just flown by. Now her senior year is upon us....
Life happens so fast.
Kenny is good, He has been called back to work 3 days a week , another Blessing ! Another Praise, he is doing well and so glad to be part of the work force around here, I am happy for him.
The animals are all fine . Todays statistics, 1 duck, 7 hens, 2 Baa ba ba baaaadd ddd dd goats, 2 dogs and 5 cats. a noisy coccatiel and a fish tank that needs attention.
Life is better than it has been in years, We are happy and not so stressed. Life is good !
Love to you this day.

hey do you remember me ?
Forever ago I started a blog, in order to keep my brain in tact as I was going through a rough time in my life. Here I am a few years later. My life is GRAND . I am so blessed and so very very happy. God is good to me . ( you know I am his favorite...) Well here on echohill things are springing, blooming, growing and climbing. I am so thankful to live on this farm. It is the most beautiful place in the world , I do believe. Happy am I to come home from work to work a little more in this heaven on earth. Chickens , ducks and the goats under foot continually pestering for some of my precious time. The goats are bab ab abbaaaa baaab bbaa ba BAD. We got chains to keep them tied - didn't work so well as they get tangled even on a blade of grass. Hilde was jerking jumping and twisting and tore the flesh on her hind leg. So that wasn't so cool either.
I planted early beets , spinach and some lettuce. I think the goats are hindering that process as well. I need a dog run. Any body have one ?? ( to put them in ))
Luke , my nephew back in the states form south korea praise the lord. Evan , my dear friends son home from afghanastan. Praise the lord. And the Dutch Tulip busy as ever. Praise the lord. So that is all my news for now.
Sad that the Cavs lost. Hope Labron stays in Cleveland.
Happy Spring my friends.
Love to you this day.

I have a little get away opportunity !
Hi friends,
Just checking in as I'm busy packing a little overnight bag.... I get to get away for over night tomorrow... There is a food show at Nemacolin outside of Pittsburgh. I am the only candidate still standing who wants to go from the Dutch Village Inn! SOOOOOO Road trip Tuesday! At this point I had asked Holly to go too, however she does have class and a few projects she ought to be working on for next week. She was still thinking about it. Really I am ok to go alone. A little R & R in a 5 star hotel~ sure I am all about it. Could have a good swim, a good soak in the tub, a good sleep and even a few new ideas to inspire me as i embark on the Season of ...... You ready for this ??????? count them 2 5 Booked events. O yea...... Still have 3 proposals out! How about that ? Pretty exciting ! Be happy for me ok?
Spring is springing. The Daffodils have peeked through their muddy helmets , the hyacinth have as well. There were crocus blooming at the Inn I noticed Saturday. How wonderful. God is good to us when he blesses us with little presents like that !
Not a lot happening, small wedding last week, big shower this week. A small wedding the end of the month. And then we're off and running through this first ever wedding season of the Dutch Tulip . Last year was only half a year, so this is the first whole year! Aren't you so excited??? I am. Can't you tell? I'm so happy .... if I were any happier you couldn't stand me ! :)
Well my lovers I must Finish packing these few things up... I'll check back with you at the end of the week. Love to you....

Let us choose a pretty shade of green as that is the color of shamrocks ~ which will be blooming shortly ! Well as winter is waining on ... I am really getting a little weary of this weather, however in my maturity I have learned to watch for particular signs of Springs arrival. Today on my way home form the shop I noticed that very thing ! First of all for me to be able to notice these following things I must tell you... At 6:00 PM the sun was still shining. What a relief that is to see ! I have been noticing for the past 2 weeks that the Red Dogwood underbrush is beginning to turn RED ! That means the sap is beginning to move throughout the stems. On a side note here. I am afraid the GOATS have ruined my lilac. They have stripped the bark off of the entire bush ! Makes me saaaaaaaaadddddddddd. I love those little turds but boy that makes me mad!
Any way back to the springing of spring.... I don't think we here in eastern ohio have seen the entire surface of the ground for at least 5 maybe 6 weeks. maybe even longer! What a welcome scene it is now to be driving along the road and seeing the snow line recede as a hair line on an older man does. More and more areas of "roadside " are being exposed. I truly don't believe we will see all the ground at least till the end of March.! This frankly is a Wisconsin winter! Snow from September to March. !
I saw or should I say I smelled a freshly killed skunk on the roadside yesterday ! You know it's coming if they are waking up form their hibernation to come out and walk on the road... ( only to be hit by a car because they aren't watching for traffic !)
Twitter the cockateil is pretty noisy too... I think he knows its that time of year as well ...
Under that icy blanket of white.... Spring awaits...... Patient, Still, Small and Quiet....
Watch the sky my loved one as soon the days will be considerably longer and that old burning ball of fire in the sky will begin to warm our faces ! I just can't wait ! Be blessed this night . Love to you my friend..

Happy Birthday Douglas!
Good Morning It is my brother's birthday ! Happy Birthday to him.... I don't think he has ever read my blog, or even knows what a blog is :) but maybe I'll print this off and share it with him. My childhood was unlike any other. It was what stories are written about, fun~ carefree~ simple~ happy~ loving... Really I don't have too much bad to say about my childhood. I have never had to discuss it in therapy, let's put it that way :) When my child hood was brought up by a counselor, they never spent much time on it. So growing up the youngest of three kids I was the chosen baby.... Doug is 10 years older than me . Actually almost exactly, 16 days separate our birthdays. He was the best and I mean BEST big brother. He taught me so many special things. How to lick my hand before touching the electric fence to see if it was on or not...... Ya that one get 's the prize I think. I remember riding Komachee ( his black big horse) holding on for dear life as he galloped him up the hill. I remember boyscout trips and camp outs we went on too~ the Appalachian Trail for instance , we would stay behind a little , ( Mom Molly and I ) and when we would catch up with them " Dougie " was the first person I wanted to see.
Dougie as I affectionately called him could do anything he was as strong as Superman and could swim faster than Neptune ! He went to the Marine Corps when I was only 8. I remember those weekends and occasional visits as well. He always made time for me even though he would have much rather spent that time with buddies o a girl...
I recall being packed up like i was going for a weekend to be put in the back ( way back ) of the family vista cruiser and a new coloring book crayons and flashlight, to go to the drive inn with my big brother and his date, to stay in the back and not make any fuss I would be bribed with a dollar.... I wonder how many times that happened or if it was only once that it seems like many! ? Life was good. His Maverick car red and so messy in the back seat. The other thing I remember as a little girl was going with Doug for a brown cow ice cream. Out to the Dairy Inn in Berlin Center. ( a brown cow is chocolate ice cream and root beer) ...
Oh fun thoughts, I must conclude with Doug and Martha's beautiful wedding. St John's Church downtown Youngstown with the beautiful rock work and long so long aisle. I was 12 .... The junior brides' maid . my teeth full full full of braces, my hair permed and fuzzy, my first high heels, wooden soled brown sandals that had a 2 or more inch platform.... and the walk down the aisle I sobbed as if someone had cut my fingers off. It was a beautiful scene. Martha's girl friends as the bridesmaids in beautiful hunter green, pretty yellow roses and not to mention Martha with her beautiful long dark hair and gorgeous ivory gown, she was radiant. My dad was Doug's best man, Uncle Jack was one of the groomsmen, Molly was a brides maid ... it was picture perfect. ~ accept for my tears.... When asked why I cried so," I said My Dougie looked so pretty..... "
In honor of you my Dougie. Happy Happy Birthday. May God Richly Bless You this Whole Year Through.... You are truly one of my heroes... I love you.

Valentine's Day
Valentine's Day is so fun, I always look forward to it because it is one of the busiest days as a florist. Mother's Day usually takes the prize for the very busiest week as everyone has a Mom be she with us on earth or not. ( so either way it's appropriate for flowers from a florist ) But Valentine's Day is a lot of fun. My personal goal was to sell 12 dozen roses. Ya, not thinking I will make that desired quota, But so far so good. Still just Friday tomorrow so I have 2 more days to sell what is in my little cooler.... :) <3 That little symbol is a heart if you couldn't tell....
So if you can give me a call at the Dutch Tulip to order something lovely for your Valentine. I can make it masculine for the man in your life , feminine for your sweetie or fun and cute for a young person. The sky is the limit. Allow me the opportunity to make something really special and creative for you and your loved one !!! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder so let me show your TRUE BEAUTY !
Are you in love? I am..... Love is a work, a process, an effort must be made to create love. I have learned that love grows. I know that sounds like a " cliche'" but it is so true. Sometimes it is not easy to love , sometimes it isn't easy to like either. When a dear one to me was just little she said that she was in " like" with a boy from school. That is not the easiest thing to remain in after years of marriage, However love is a mutual agreement that we must work toward with commonality and compromise. and "like " comes along for the ride.
However you look at it relationships are hard work. Learn to be selfless, learn that in giving we receive, in serving we are served, in loving we are loved.
People need Loving the most when they deserve it the least....
Anyone in your world need a swift kick in the pants? ~ I can name a few~~~ but you know what they need instead ? A caring listening ear with some compassion and selfless sacrifice.
They will be better for the effort you put into it , and will be easier to love after the effort as well.... I can name a few that I'd rather ignore and hope they'd travel out of my path.... Seems those are the very people the lord is calling me to care for...
I love my boyfriend, my husband , my best friend , my companion, my soulmate, MY HERO, my daughter's dad, my mother in law's son, my brothers' in law 's brother. - you get the picture. 14 years... a lot of life has happened in those years. Much of it a struggle, and I mean a STRUGGLE. No one ever said it would be easy, and some of the time I thought I wouldn't make it out alive, but you know what ???? I would not trade this 14 years of Life Love and Happiness for all the $ in the world .
Kenny Wehr is my beloved, I am his and he is mine. I am not a beauty queen, nor a fashion model, but he treats me as if I were the only woman in the world. For that I am grateful.
I love you Ken Wehr more today than I did yesterday
and tomorrow i will love you more than i did today.
<3 ~ * <3 ~ * happy valentine's day honey * ~ <3 * ~ <3 you..... are my sunshine.
I LOVE YOU.XOXOXOXOXOXOXO

Groundhog Day!
One of my most favorite days of the year, One day I will be there to see Phil. The Prognosticator of prognosticators! He did indeed see his shadow thismorning so we will have 6 more weeks of winter. I'm over this winter stuff Phil ! Who says it's global warming when it hasn't been over 25 ' in a week? Most mornigs of late we have been around the 16-19' temperatures.
Well off to the Dutch Tulip Just had to tell you about this special day for me. Some day I'll spend a few days there in February , ( not october) ~ like we have already... I love GroundHog Day !!!

Looking as tho I'm the only one left here on Google Blogger. I want a Blog for the Dutch Tulip. One that is easy to upload recent pictures and things on... Thinking this one isn't it as it is hard to up load anything even your name to this site. Been a great weekend. I was STARVING for corporate worship. We went to Old North yesterday. I t was great to be there and see some people I dearly love. I pray for ONC every day and in my heart feel as tho I do belong there. Politcal crap is killing the atmosphere there tho. That makes me very sad. Many things are right on and so many things I just can't get along with. Frustrating that peoples personalities have to get in the way of TheLord's Work. Cant' we all just serve and be served with out egos ? Satin seeks out to search steal and destroy. Thant is exactly what is happening. Loved ones be very wary of false teachings. Make sure you are on your guard for such as these. You know we don't know if we are entertaining angels or demons... . I love you dear ones and want to spend eternity with you... Gotta go to the Tulip. Be Blessed this Day... Love to you!

Hidy Ho Neighbor !

Let's use green as the color of the day, with the sincere wish for springy green instead of all this Gray and mud and yuk.. Kinda wish the snow would just disappear! The melting mud process is a little old already. Especially if you live with animals like I do! Snicky's paws are like 4 5" mops that pick up and absorb everything outside then when he comes in he leaves that all in here for me to contend with !.
We had a nice day yesterday. House church, - I'm really getting to know these folks ( after a year) and I love them ! Kenny shared the message and it was very appropriate . Good soup Good company and a good time!
Home was quiet, Kenny went to West Virginia with Danny and I had a quiet day here all day by my self. I roasted a turkey to make room in the freezer, not the typical day for turkey, smelled good tho~ Gave Danny and Emma 1/2 of it , should have gotten much more accomplished, but found it restful to just putz around the kitchen....
Big Day at the flowershop today! a "show in tell" for my July wedding , and another appt. in the afternoon with folks I haven't met yet.
So get this....... 14 Confirmed weddings ! Praise The Lord!!! You know "He " gets all the Glory for what is happening at The Dutch Tulip. We begin the 10th of April and don't stop at this point until September! I'm so excited.... I LOVE MY NEW JOB!
I find one thing, this is the first shop I have ever been the only one there, finding it a little lonely some days... But I am so blessed and so excited. Lots of Good things are happening quickly ! I pry for the wisdom and creative ability to create unique and beautiful things for brides and every order for that matter.... LOVE IT!
Today is the first Monday I have not had to gather a bathing suit as this is the first Monday of the rest of my life, with only one... let me repeat that one..... job! Some apprehension of letting it go as I love My Ladies so very much they are the reason I hate to leave, However things are now going so well at the shop I hate to leave in the middle of the afternoon and rush off to Canfield, what am I missing???? Nothing now. !
Well My dear friends I need to get moving, I hope you are warm , I hope you have the opportunity to see the sunshine today.... be Blessed ~J

Hi So sorry I haven't been here in such a long while. Things have been a little RIDICULOUS . Busy isn't really the correct word. let's see i received a deposit again yesterday for another wedding. that is 8 if you are counting. 3 more estimates that are verbally confirmed and yet we have not yet gotten the financial deposit. But I would say that is pretty darn good for this little Dutch Tulip. I am so pleased with the way things are turning out. I had originally promised the Ursuline Mother house I would work as an aerobic instructor at least until August of 2010. UMMMMMMMMMMM Can't! Too Much Going on here to leave this place to go there.... I am ready to be done with that chapter. The only reason I am still there as they have not yet found a replacement for me. - and I care too much to just walk away with out someone for my ladies... They are kind of happy with the new dressing rooms. Can't say too much good as they are still complainingof the size of the actual changing room, no where to put your stuff... leaving clothing inside etc, so on blah blah blah . I in all my 43 Years of life have ever worked with such complaining women ! but any how, over the swim thing for now in my life, look forward to swimming at the Inn for my own personal exercise, maybe even for some fun now and then !
The holidays went by so fast. Enjoyed a good visit with Jill and Devon. Of course Holly's 21 birthday and New Years' Eve. I spent a lot of the time at home laying on the couch or in bed as i was pretty sick. Think I had the flu or a sinus infection or something like that. Doing pretty well now but sheesh!~ Threw me into a tail spin for a week or two.
Kenny took down the tree for me I still have the nativity and a few other Christmassy things that need a home for the next 11 months. :)
Looking forward to ladies Night this Friday to Saturday. Should be a good time , Holly is spending the night with me and I am teaching aerobics twice, but not planning on working much that time.
That is really all the time I have to devote to " blogging" this morning, be Happy be blessed be safe and be warm....~J
