Real Mothers

I'd like to share this little quote I have written here on my desk, I thought you'd enjoy it.
Real Mothers
Real mothers don't eat quiche; they don't have time to make it.
Real mothers know the majority of their kitchen utensils are in the sandbox.
Real mothers often have sticky floors, filthy ovens and very happy kids.
Real mothers know that dried pay dough will Never come out of the carpet.
Real mothers don't want to know what the vacuum just sucked up.
Real mothers sometimes ask ,"whyme?" when a little voice says "because I love you best."
Real mothers know that a child's growth is not measured by height or years to grade
it is marked by the progression from Mommy to Mom to Mother...

4 years old : My Mommy can do anything

8 years old: My Mom knows allot, a whole lot

12 years old: My mother doesn't really know quite everything.

14 years old: Naturally my Mother doesn't know that either....

16 years old: Mother,,,, Hopelessly old fashioned.

18 years old: That old woman ? She's entirely out of date.

25 years old: Well she may know a little about some things.

35 years old: Before we make that decision let's get Mom's opinion.

45 years old: I wonder what my Mom would have thought about that .

65 years old : Sure wish I could talk that over with my Mom.

Whether you're at the beginning middle or toward the end of the list of years, be Blessed by your mom . I love my mom with her quirky ways and ridiculous suggestions sometimes, I enjoy my 8 am phone calls with my mom as I drive to work. I'm usually spoken to about my driving habits, financial well being, health matters, choice of pets, choice of words, etc.... I am thankful to enjoy my mom and so blessed still to have her in my life. I lost my dad at 22 , he was only 56 years old when he died, I so often wish I could sit and just chat a while with my dad.... He would certainly be so proud of his grandchildren, I think he'd be proud his logsplitter sits proudly in our woodshed and runs weekly ! Just often wish I could sit and chat a bit about politics, about Holly and about life with my dad..... Be blessed my friend. Jenny
