Real Mothers

I'd like to share this little quote I have written here on my desk, I thought you'd enjoy it.
Real Mothers
Real mothers don't eat quiche; they don't have time to make it.
Real mothers know the majority of their kitchen utensils are in the sandbox.
Real mothers often have sticky floors, filthy ovens and very happy kids.
Real mothers know that dried pay dough will Never come out of the carpet.
Real mothers don't want to know what the vacuum just sucked up.
Real mothers sometimes ask ,"whyme?" when a little voice says "because I love you best."
Real mothers know that a child's growth is not measured by height or years to grade
it is marked by the progression from Mommy to Mom to Mother...

4 years old : My Mommy can do anything

8 years old: My Mom knows allot, a whole lot

12 years old: My mother doesn't really know quite everything.

14 years old: Naturally my Mother doesn't know that either....

16 years old: Mother,,,, Hopelessly old fashioned.

18 years old: That old woman ? She's entirely out of date.

25 years old: Well she may know a little about some things.

35 years old: Before we make that decision let's get Mom's opinion.

45 years old: I wonder what my Mom would have thought about that .

65 years old : Sure wish I could talk that over with my Mom.

Whether you're at the beginning middle or toward the end of the list of years, be Blessed by your mom . I love my mom with her quirky ways and ridiculous suggestions sometimes, I enjoy my 8 am phone calls with my mom as I drive to work. I'm usually spoken to about my driving habits, financial well being, health matters, choice of pets, choice of words, etc.... I am thankful to enjoy my mom and so blessed still to have her in my life. I lost my dad at 22 , he was only 56 years old when he died, I so often wish I could sit and just chat a while with my dad.... He would certainly be so proud of his grandchildren, I think he'd be proud his logsplitter sits proudly in our woodshed and runs weekly ! Just often wish I could sit and chat a bit about politics, about Holly and about life with my dad..... Be blessed my friend. Jenny

Just sure I'll throw it into the washer and the inadvertently pull it out in a handful to put into the dryer ! I hope it found it's way back out as it found it's way in ! Ezzameralda is a sweet girl..... Work is STHPARKLY""" say it out loud you'll smile I promise. Christmas Open house Nov 7. 14th and 15th . Coming quickly. So is Kenny's hearing for social security. Makes me nauseous , and election day. also make s me nauseous...... Love ya... Jenny

A serpent, A rodent and a feline....

Well Hello there all you cyber junkie Friends of mine have I got a story for you today..... We shall choose the color of yukky green as this is quite the frightful tale.... Well about 6 :15 AM I sent Kenny to the basement for his shower, I asked that he please turn the clothes dryer on to "fluff" and that I would be right down to hang those things up and then by that time I would take my shower..... Usual morning routine at our home, however recently there has been a little squabbling over Men's jobs of the house and Women's' jobs of the house.... SO I come bopping down the stairs and making my way to open the dryer when under my feet and on top the the olive green rug I see a SNAKE ! Yes in my basement. No this isn't the first and probly not the last but I HATE THEM ! It was about 10"long and about 1" around, still gives me the willies, I screamed, swore and did a pretty quick about face and tromped right back up the steps barking at Kenny every step of the way. You know with out a doubt it is His responsibility to protect me form all things I don't like..... My husband however is BLIND and couldn't see the snake to get it. (so he said) , I know for a fact he doesn't much like them either but I have a definite problem with them so hence it's his responsibility ! HAHAHAH

So..... Kenny left Friday afternoon to go to Athens with Ronnie and Ryder for the weekend, leaving me home with a reptile in the basement........ya, I showered upstairs this morning in the old shower,,,,, It's Okay though I NEVER need to go to the basement ever again.

On to the next chapter, a rodent... I said a week ago , I think we have a mouse, "No we haven't had a mouse in the house in years " Still I said we have a mouse.... I bought mouse traps, the snappy kind that you set with peanut butter. Okay so I am cooking dinner the other night when I open the cupboard to find my raisins chewed into via the plastic bag , then the crackers, etc... Yelling Stomping slamming , more yelling more stomping and a little more slamming Kenny comes to my rescue to begin to set the traps. ( While I'm attempting to cook dinner mind you ) Okay, the traps are set. He leaves to bowl and I am home alone with my new baby,. He got home and all of a sudden BLAM! He said I think we just caught a mouse. Sure enough, Dead mouse.....

So, I m here with my new baby who is too little to save me from all things smaller than my hand but scarier than a monster... Do you have a list of Men's jobs and Women's ? Kenny wants them written in bold ink and stuck on the fridge as a job description. I'm still thinking on this...... Hmmmmmmm........ Love You~

I have a new baby !!!!

Hi ! Let me the first to introduce you to my new baby kitty, Ezza meralda. She is flannel frey in color with white legs and paws, with various gray spots here and there. Melda, Zack and I exhausted all effort s to find Kittens in every paper's local listing from youngstown, new wilmington, New ZCVastle and Volant. W e drove the country side from hither to non and back again. We stompped through backyards and peered into dog boxes surrounded by trash and many many black kitties wesaw. Not one though was worthy of being "the one " . Know what i mean ? Well , after we left Kenny 7 I once again went in to Boardman on our way home nad we went into a few pet stores. They have varions kittens _ cats for adoption, a mere 100.00 ~ which I don't have.... they also had some cats for sale at one of them, Yea, $199.00 Hahahah. One of the sales clerks must have understood my desperation and mentioned one of her co workers had a +"free "Kitten !" Now she understood my plea. I spoke with the heavily tattooed , pierced man, Is it black ? .... "oh yea" Is it a male? " Oh yea" ...... No she is neither black or male. She is however quite little, probably about 10 . Just finding her own Ornery. I couldn't decide if I wanted to call her Poco -hontus, or Ezze. Kenny wants to call her Hell en. As in hell on paws, The first night she was so timid. Um not so much now, Her favorite place is on top of the fish tank batting at the glass, or with her face pushed into the little space at the back cover of the tank trying to stick her tongue down long enough to reach the water or fishes below. She is fervently afraid of the dogs, Tey could care less, "oh a cat" , She on the other hand is puffed beyond measure hissing and spitting !! Well soon as i can I'll get some pictures on here. I know yea yea yea,,,,, It will happen though one day.. Be Blessed and thanks for praying kitty for me
She65s helping me type can you tell???? Love ya, Me

Thursday,,,, Thursday,,,,,

Hi How are ya tonight ???? I am good, I had a good day at work, busy. We thought there weren't going to be allot of corsages this weekend, but that is not so. We were at about 23 last time i counted. Only three weddings this weekend, I hope to get out of there on time Friday. I really want to go to the South Range - Columbiana Football game. The Junior high band is playing pre game and the half time show proves to be pretty intense. I can't wait. AND Holly's coming home tomorrow afternoon to visit ME ! She's gonna go to the game with me . Kenny will meet us there. Unfortunately we lost a friend this week to cancer and Ken and his Dad and Ronnie are going to the funeral home right after work. They will meet us there. Proves to be a good night of football.Whichever team wins moves on to playoffs, Very exciting!
So let me tell you what I have been learning about my Lord this week. Grace Grace God's Grace, Grace that will pardon and cleanse with in. Grace Grace God's Grace , grace that Will pardon all my sin. You know I have joked about a million times lately that if the SSDI hearing happens on Nov 7, and Kenny is denied , I say I a, going to comit myself to be glory bound , and "check out " Get it ? Well I know that suicide is pretty much a one way ticket to hell, however I say I'd rather be in Glory with my Jesus than Here on earth, True.... but...... His grace is what i need and what I proclaim that will sustain me through whatever the judge rules. His grace is what has carried me this far. When I look back to July of 06, I can't believe the wealth of emotions I have been through . From disbelief that my husband was actually loosing his vision, to "what am I gonna do now " , to where will we be in 10 years ? God's utter and sustaining grace has given me the strength and power to be here with you tonight. I t has been HARD, very hard. Not only is Kenny legally blind but he suffers form depression, diabetes, and several other things that all add up to be a yukky mix.

Grace Grace, God's Grace.
Pray for his grace to deal with your hurdles today. He'll see you through. He has me and he will you. Even when you see no end in sight , that's when the Lord's provisions are the most abundant. Pray for Holly as she travels to home and pray for holly's good friend Alex as she travels home too. I can't wait to see my girl. Love to you all.... Jenny

I see the moon.....

There's a saying my mom always taught us, It went like this....." I see the moon and the moon sees me,,,,, Shining down through the old oak tree....." Did ya happen to see the moon tonight ? It's so clear and beautiful. Absolutely a perfect night. As I drove home form the pool tonight I was able to keep my window partially down. It was such a mild ride in the autumn air. I noticed the leaves are beginning to fall a bit now too. I think fall is such a pretty time. I like the smell in the air in the afternoon, kinda nutty green smell. Crazy I know. And have ya seen the fuzzy caterpillars crossing the road. I never know if it's better to see one with more black than brown or more brown than black, Either way the snow will fly and we'll forget if he ( the caterpillar) was more of one color than the other..... When do we change the clocks ? I noticed the lights aren't coming on outside the pool as I leave, The timer needs changed, it's dark out there.! . Well I just wanted to check in and say Hello. " HI Low " as my German friend Anneliesa always says. be blessed tonight. Rest well..... Jenny

What a Beautiful day it was today

How pretty the day has been today. We were supposed to work at the shop on Christmas today, however we protested as we are all beat form the past week and I know for a fact there is not one creative Christmas idea floating through my exhausted brain. So instead Kenny I went to the Gate, Saw friends, haven't' been there for a few weeks, Nice to see them, Then we went for a ride to Cornersburg via millcreek park to pick up Bob & Anneliesa's sno blower for Kenny to fix. We rode home through the park again and came home to begin to clean up the house. And cook dinner for Melda and Zack. I washed the wall and floor where the stove is . Kenny moved the used ( new to me) oven in and I washed it up and made stuffed peppers, mashed potatoes, applesauce and green beans. I baked a chocolate cherry cake- Gordon style - . Then we boxed up Melda's beef from the freezer and sent them on their merry way. A lovely day. Concluded here with all my friends. ( at least I like to imagine that you are all my Friends... ahahahahaha. Love you. Jenny

In Loving Memory of my Thunder Cat.

This is in loving memory of my Thunder Cat. I am so sad to say we lost our dear friend and pet tonight. Tears just won't stop. We knew he was in failing health, and we knew there was nothing we can do to change the circumstance, however I am still so sad to have lost such a terrific pet. I must tell you where he came from... Holly asked Santa for a fluffy white kitten, all Santa could find was a solid black kitten, and at that I had to pay $45.00 for him from a pet store ! That was also my first lie to Kenny, that I got him for free.... No he only cost us money for all of his 13 years. He has been such a fun pet. Never ever could he be called kitty kitty , he was to be called Thunder Cat. Holly would sing a song about him that he was invincible and he had nine lives. Unfortunately the ninth is over, but I truly believe in heaven for our pets. The lord would not create animals for our pleasure and not allow us to spend eternity with them. I think Thunder is on the lap of our king, purring and soaking up the warmth of the sun and Our Lord is pulling his tail. ( one of Thunders favorite things). Please stroll through these pictures, and enjoy your pets. Love to you all.....Jenny

Another one of Joe Mineo's special weddings....

We had the honor or privilege or back ache for creating another one of Joes magnificent weddings. I think my good friend and coworker Rob, had allot to do in the design of this one. I can't describe a wedding for you and give it justice but please allow me the opportunity to try. Let's see, lets' begin with the color lavender, so soft and not one of my favorites but quite beautiful. Add to the lavender a soft shade of minty celadon green and hence you have the back drop for lighting in an already magnificent room . The grand ball room of the Renaissance Hotel in Tower City down town Cleveland. The ball room is quite a large room but if you can imagine the room being made a little cozier by draped satin fabric from the ceiling across and down to the floor where it puddled ever so little. The table were covered with a soft lavender cloth and an embroidered overlay that was sheer with a little spray of embroidery in a floral pattern. The chairs were draped with a sheer sash every other of green and lavender. On the back of each was a large lavender purple hydrangea and a pink oceana rose and of course how can I forget a beautiful feather butterfly in a pretty lavender shade. The band was set up on a large stage , a pop type band of "ethnic" men. The couple and their family are Russian. Quite a snicker for me to hear New "Yerk " "New Yerk" rehearsed along with many other songs I can't begin to acknowledge. Funny that they act like American pop stars and look like American pop stars and are Russian! Any how the Bridal table was on a platform against the one wall that I helped to create a Floral picture frame that was behind the couples table, which the table cloth was covered with flowers and butterflies. The table top arrangements included these flowers in these numbers.... 30 lavender hydrangea, 20 green hydrangea, 20 hot pinky fushia peonies, 30 white stock, 30 lavender roses, 30 esperance roses, 20 hot pink roses and 6 stems of hanging amarynthus, fresh ivy and large 6 " clear with and iridescent sheen bubble glass ornament and 6 4" ones and silver curly willow and 10 butterflies ! Okay the were sitting upon a beautiful large hour glass vase with an arrangement of 3 open giant roses and yet another butterfly ! Breathtaking. Simply Gorgeous. Words are hard to use as in our language the words that were saved for special uses are so over used they are no longer special..... So Beautiful, extravagant, enormous, delicate , breathtaking, fabulous, spectacular and oh yea , exhausting all are appropriate! Does that make any sense ? HA ! I hope you can grasp the enormity of this... It is quite a job, I am so tired and I was only one of allot of SN people used to pull this huge job together ! That was just the ball room we had Flowers in the cocktail area, hordeourves area the desert and the place card area, the after party and oh we can't forget the restrooms and the cake oh the cake. When Kenny figures out how to put pictures form my phone on to the computer.... One Day I will share them with you. It is such a n honor to work for Joe and Anna and have the opportunity to work on these projects. But I'm so tired.... I have slept allot of my day away today. May back is killing me and my arms are so spent I can't do my hair now after my shower..... :) get the idea i'm pooped ? And I'm just one of 50 ! 50 people it took to make that happen.. Wow. Any way Be blessed this day and enjoy how very pretty it is. Matilda is missing.... sad about that..... hope she's not hurt somewhere and if she has been hit , I hope i can find her.... Love to you all.... Jenny
