Just another Monday.... Kenny had a Doctors appt in Canton and we were able to visit with his cousin over lunch. That was nice. Dr's appt was uneventful. I tell you what , If our claim of dissability is not in court or approved soon I think one or the other of us will go absolutely buzzark ! How is that spelled anyway ? You see July 6, 2006, Ken noticed he was not able to see correctly. It was as if one line of vision was available at a time as if he was reading a one line at a time eye chart. Low and behold it was an nuero opthamolic stroke. Called Eschemic optic neuritis. His diabetes and other health isuues don't help the matter but they certianly were not the cause. Subsequently the event left a residual effect of vision loss of 70% of his right eye. Remaining in the upper portion of the field of his right eye. Two years ago he had a similiar event in which he lost all but the periphary of his left eye. ...... Legally Blind . It pretty much is a frustrating thing as neither occurance were connected to the other, the result is simply unfortunate, and sad. We don't know if one day it will all be gone, the vision in his right eye that is, of course we both believe the LORD is capable of healing his vision and restoring it. What a testament that would be. I'm Waaaaaiiiiitttttiiinnngggg...... He is too for that matter. This has been one of the most ardgious proscesses we have ever been through. Every Doctor we meet says it is a text book case of legal blindness. However he has been denied 3 times now. Now we have hired an attorney and he assures us we do indeed have a case. However we have to wait for the system to schedule a hearing, and pray that this time it is approved and Ken would br elidgable to recieve disability benefits. I sure hope so. Sooner than later..... It's a hard yukky situation to be in. Last November he gave up his drivers license. Unable to work a regular job as we are limited in how much $ he can bring home, So he is working 2 days a week for a great company... We are blessed.
I just had to step away for a few minutes as I had to watch Michael Pheps swim as well as Pearsol and Greevus win gold and silver 1 2 in the 100 Back. I love swimming...... These athletes are amazing. God Bless you this Monday.... Go U S A Swimming !!!! Isn't it exciting ? ~Jenny
