Hi Friends, Enough of this crazy depressing stuff already.... I'm tired of that mess already. I would really like to run away, Kenny seems to think we would just be found and it would do us no good to run, but it sounds like an idea doesn't it ?
SO here we are to pull ourselves back up off the ground by our boot straps and plug on ! One day , a long time ago I heard a sermon series by Brent Allen of Old North Church that was entitled , Trials are tests that teach us to TRUST ! Are you trusting the Lord has your life under control ? I am really trying my best. I am sure he does have it all planned but it's hard to hang on around each and every curve. I'm growing weary I won't lie.
Let me just say at last conversation with our insurance agent there was 5000.00 worth of damage to Hol's car and she paid just a little over 4000.00. And had liability coverage only....
So on a lighter note, let me tell you where Echohill came from. It comes form not only the echo we hear as we call to the dogs , as it is also from the echo we hear in our hearts of Kenny's grandparents raising 4 girls here on our farm, This property , house and barns all hold a dear entrance to the past of many many years of happy times. I think about them as little girls playing in the house and in the yard. What promise of years to come the walls held. Do you think as a young woman Edna ever thought her oldest son and his family would live in the house she called Home ? And further more nurture his own family here? The house sits on a hill and when the wind is right and I call to the dogs out the back door I can here an echo bounce back up behind the barn ! One day Belle was furiously barking over the hill into the darkness and every bark she made echoed back at them with intensity ! Every hair on her back was standing straight up ! It was so funny , She was really "protecting us from those big dogs in the woods!!"
It is my hope you all have the opportunity to listen to the echoes of children laughing in the yard, dogs barking and playing in the yard and the sound the water makes as the well handle is pumped and the water hits the top of the well casing ! Enjoy your echo today. Love Jenny
