Thank You to our Vetrans

One thing that has always been important to me , is respect for our service men and women as well as the service our veterans sacrificed for the safety peace and well being of Our America.
Our America... do you love it here in this land of the free and home of the brave?
Our America.... do you or have you ever read the constitution of the United States?
Can you recite a few of the words of the preamble .... we the people in order to create a more perfect union ....
Did you vote last week ?
Were you an informed voter?
When at a sporting event and the National Anthem is played to you recite the words or even sing along?
How about the Pledge of Allegiance.?

Do you realize freedom isn't free? Do you realize men and women are serving in the desert in the mountains and in the horrid places of the middle east right now ! ? They haven't seen their loved ones for months.... Do you intercede for their safety peace and well being ? Do you support their family members who remain out of touch with their loved ones for weeks days and even months at a time...

I believe in this country. I believe in the way it was founded and built. I believe it is my responsibility to be informed , conscious and willing to do my part to make things safe and hopeful for following generations. To leave a foot print of integrity and honesty that make my daughter and other young people proud to be American as well....
I believe we must work hard and diligent to keep the earth clean and free of unnecessary garbage.

Even though I do not agree with all the political jargon happening in Washington , I do believe it is my responsibility to hold those elected officials in fervent prayer to be surrounded by Godly counsel and wise men.
Thank you veterans and service men and women... I am proud of you. Proud of what you are doing for us. Your unwilling sacrifice and willingness to serve.
God Bless you on Veteran's Day
God please continue to bless the United States of America.

There is a chill in the air

Hi Friends.
Nice to sit down a minute to post a few thoughts in this crazy place. Posted more this week than I have all year. By the time November is over I will have posted more in a month than I have in 2 years.... Kimmy challenged me to this and I just couldn't say No ....
I practice saying that word occasionally, however it doesn't always work out too well...:)
SO how are you this Friday night ? I'm good . Been messing around with a headache in the back of my head now since at least Tuesday. I'm trying a cocktail of 1 Tylenol and 2 aleve 2 x's a day.. Not working out so well. Today I broke down and took 2 Tylenol at lunch. I told my mom over the phone I think I'm having an aneurysm. ? Not really I know , but a constant headache is not cool.

The store has been great this week. I am trying to prepare for Christmas decorating at the Inn. However , Not working too well as people continue calling, and ordering arrangements. :) No I love every minute of it ! I would be no where with out those calls....
On a light note had a curious call from an eager bride yesterday , whose wedding is not until JULY !!! I'm all for planning ahead. Send me a deposit. Hold the day in my calendar for yourself and then .... we can chat about your vision in May !!! Not that I don't care, because I totally do care, I'm just a little busy right now and would rather wait until after the holidays . But she is coming in this week because she is just too excited to wait!

Should be fun.
By the way I don't have my book with me but I think I am totally booked all of June and it's not even January yet!
Tomorrows wedding will be beautiful all red and white. she is a delight to work with as the bride, makes our journey to the wedding day much more tolerable. :) If they all were just as fun....:)
Well if I knew how to post pictures I surely would but I surely don't so I surely won't . !
Be Blessed Stay warm tonight ..
Goodnight ...

How about this....

Keeping up my end here, although we are not one entire week into the month yet, however I am still keeping up with my posts!
A fun thing happened to a special young lady in my world today. Lauren , is a high school senior at Leetonia HS . She has helped me in the flower shop since May. She started the weekend we had 2 crazy big weddings, and she came back again and again so I must not freaked her out too bad ! Any way Lauren or "Lornan" as her little cousin calls her was tapped into NHS today ! Congratulations to her.... What an awesome accomplishment! Proud of her .

When Holly was in High School and waiting for the NHS appointment letter she looked at every piece of mail that graced our mail box. She scoured for that letter and was so terribly miserable that it indeed never arrived.. She waited, whined , paced and fussed for a month waiting for the " letter " to appear. Little did she know it had come and in a timely fashion I might add, I took the letter to work at Something New where I knew it would never find her little hands. I could keep the National Honor Society Induction a BIG SECRET from her... In 2006 Kenny still had his vision and was driving. He planned to leave work early that day as I also dressed up a bit and planned on leaving the flower shop in order to make it to the assembly. We thought we were so sly ~ keeping this big accomplishment from her and all. I was so excited.

The day before the assembly Holly happened to drop into the shop just to say Hello. While during her visit one of my coworkers congratulated her on her huge accomplishment of NHS. The month long surprize was immediately O V E R . Blown .... out of the water...... she knew. All the crazy effort put into keeping the secret now ca put. Fine' . sad. I tried so hard to make it a surprize.... :) Is she any different now from knowing ? Eh .... Probably not ... she is a delight either way. But when she was inducted we thought it was pretty cool.
Many things in life bring us pride. Most definitely National Honor Society is one of those. :)

Congratulations Lornan. Good Job.
Congratulations Holly ..... 4 years ago.
I'm proud of you both.
:)

Noproblomo

So my friend Kimmy suggested I try to blog every day for the month of November. Those of you who know me well know how crazy busy I am this month every year.... as it proceeds the month of December... The biggest decorating month of the year! As to this end I am attempting. Some days may only be a sentence or two. Maybe a paragraph if I'm lucky, hopefully thought provoking.

Today's insight finds it's way back to The Ursuline Mother House pool. I substituted for the regular instructor tonight. However that was one of my former jobs. I believe about 13 years or so. I left last December when things at The Dutch Tulip became too busy for me to continue. When she called to ask ~ I jumped at the thought . Missing my ladies so much. I wanted to wait ample time prior to going back as I didn't want to create any ill feelings toward my replacement. But it was good to see them tonight. A little older, wrinklier, skinnier, chubbier, happier, grump yer , smarter.... and yes louder. My throat is scratchy as I had to yell over the talking and crying baby and all. :) But fun. Something about being vulnerable and in a bathing suit that makes your life an open book that in turn you must divulge every secret known in your heart. Actually it is therapeutic as well as healthy. I do believe I have lost # since being there only to have lost muscle mass and turn it into pure fat... :) 6 hours of pretty intense workout was a little too much. Now I would like to just do an hour or so 4 times a week ! By Myself.... thank you very much. No random injuries rashes sore toes, fingers or random things I'd rather not mention... :) Fun though. The ladies are my extended mothers grandmas and aunties.... Fun times..... be blessed this night .. I'm exhausted ...... 6 :15 will come way too early ....

Frosty mornings

Good day. I just so enjoy a brisk frosty morning. You know when you have to start the car 10 minutes before leaving home in order to thaw it off. Thank Goodness Kenny doesn't mind doing that for me. I appreciate his chivalry . However I do so hate it when folks don't scrape their own windows off. In fact quite makes me CRAZY. I actually saw a teenager driving to Columbiana High School with her window down , head out of the car driving because there is too much ice on her windshield.......
Would she rather be dead than late for the bell.... hmmmmm I'm thinking her mom and dad might want to help her out a bit with and ice scraper.... It could be a stocking stuffer, but it also could be a necessary tool in which she should use prior to leaving the driveway....

Things that make you go hmmmmm....
Have a good day.
