Hi Friends, sorry I have not been here for a little while, I hope this finds you well and enjoying your Sunday afternoon. I have had a great day. We started at our dear friends' Margaret and Craig's for home church this morning, lunch with them, then home to tear into the car , cleaning, vacuuming and trying to make it not look like a dirt mobile. Yesterday Holly and Mike got home form florida. Great to see her, we had a very fun but very short visit, as she had to get back to school to get a 5 page paper written. She brought K a puzzle in a bottle, he put it together already today. And she brought me a cute red and white dish towel w/ mickey ears and a red ice cube tray of mickey. I'm so happy for her to have the opportunity to travel. As it would not be w/ K and I as we just don't have the ability. I really appreciate the fact she works so hard, and that she has the incentive to be able to save for those trips. She flys so often. To Cali, to Fla.... I am happy she has the chance to do it.
Disney sounds amazing. One day I will get to see the Magic Kingdom. She enjoyed her quickie visit with Mom and Rich too. They are good. Holly is a little saddened as Rich is beginning to look older.... That is sad to me too. He has been quite the grandpa to her for the past 15 years. He's a special guy to all of us and it is sad to see people age. Especially when we don't see them but once or twice a year.
I appreciate Mike's family too facilitating the trip with somewhere for the kids to stay and feeding Holly while she was there. They are special people too and have loved Holly for 5 years ! Just today I was looking at old pictures of when Michael was a JR and Hol was a Soph. and they went to their first prom... They looked like little kids.... Years later, still in 'love" I wonder what The Lord has in store for their future? They say marriage... ? Maybe. Whose to say. I know I could never ask for a nicer and kinder young man to love my daughter. He has always treated Holly with such adoration. I have never seen her open a car door. He has always been a gentle man. I'm as proud of Michael as I am holly. He will graduate in December. That is coming! Where does the time go ????
Well pray for Luke, my nephew in Ranger Training. He is awesome and we all need to pray for our young men and women serving our country. Especially those in harsh circumstantial training. Pray for his mom, my sister as well. I love them and they need our diligent prayer support. Love to you this pretty Sunday night.. I look forward to chatting with you soon. Good Night for now...~J
