Can You Guess The Wedding Color This Week ?

Can you guess the wedding color this week ? Hi There ! Haven't been here for days b/c I have fallen asleep each night too early to check in ! How are you all ? I'm good , been working allot this week already and have an early and late day Thursday . A Big Weekend for SNF. ( something new florist) . Danielle and Dan's wedding shall surely be lovely however I'm worried about the other one in Cleveland, the barmitzvah and the rehearsal dinner ... It is crazy ~ It seems to work on paper however we aren't real sure how it's gonna work out in real time ! The flowers are all in water finally and okay, not the greatest but after a few concerns, nearly 7000 roses, a few hundred hydrangeas and various lovely orchids I think we are ready to begin! I hope at some point you all will have the opportunity to see " what" I do for a loving. Generally I find people have No Idea what we do when transforming a venue into a special magical ballroom. Truly a sight to behold! Sometimes overwhelming at this point and then again after when it's time to tear it all down. Please take some time to check out www.somethingnewflorist.com
You will be glad you did. It takes a little while to look through all of the pictures, But I am sure if you are into beautiful flowers you'll enjoy looking through the wedding albums. This has definitely been the best and funnest opportunity I have ever had working for a flower shop ! That is a silly statement thought b/c it is not really just a flower shop. I have really worked on some terrific projects. I certainly work with the most talented designers ever. Our base of knowledge is grand. We all have a specific area we enjoy working and are good at doing our own job. It's good not to be into every aspect. Safer for the brain and easier on your own personal well being. I have never physically worked as hard as I do here, but oh the wonder when it's all put together. We have been described a few ways: Like a bee hive, all busy in our places doing the job we do best, and as an orchestra. With The Maestro' Joe Mineo conducting. Let me say publicly, "it's a pleasure being under his direction" :-)Please have a great day and think of me when a pink rose you see ! ~Jenny

S a t u r d a y night!

Hi My Friends. I said I would be back on Saturday and I chose not to let you down, Here I am! Hello! Well it's a HOT Saturday night and I am off for two days.... Count them One Two... Yea... Holly moved to Kent today.... Yea again.... Last year when she left I thought I'de never live again, and here I am cheering her on to step out of the nest once again this fall, and fly robin fly. "isn't there a song in there somewhere?' No I am sure we will miss her . Not like she's been around too much this summer anyway she worked three jobs and used the house as a landing pad. I won't miss 6 bottles of various types of shampoo and conditioner in the shower and I wont' miss 6 razors, none of which would work to trim a hedgehog let alone shave one's legs! I won't miss the half eaten yogurt cup on the window sill or the explosion of Holly form the back door. You see she's everywhere when she's home in away that's refreshing but in a way it's nice too when it's just the two of us as Kenny explodes with stuff only in his nest. :) Well tomorrow is an exciting day for me, I'm skipping church at The Gate and going to Shaker Woods with my Mom, sister in law and her sister . Sounds like a really fun morning if you ask me. Next week at work will be absolutely RIDICULOUS as the owners daughter is getting married. Yea Lot's of flowers is an understatement. It will be one for the magazines I'm sure. I'm glad it's in Boardman and not Cleveland ! Easier to run back and forth. Hopefully not necessary, but convenient none the less. Thanks Kimmy for acknowledging my site, I'm glad you're there. Take care and I'll tell you all about the woods tomorrow!!! Love to you.... Jenny

Thursday notes

Hi Friends.
Anybody out there ? I am beginnig to think this blogging is for my own sanity and that is all. Which is okay by the way, but it would be nice if someone occasionally said hello. "HI". Just made dinner and enjoyed it with our buddy jeffrey, we had nice conversation and watched a deer come out into the bean field to graze. I love the scenery here at our farm. I believe it is one of the most beautiful places on earth. Things change so often outside. and in a way they seem to always be the same. Yes that would be circle talk or an oxymoran, but I thought you's understand that I am trying to say: The more things change, the more familiar they become. Hahahahaha get it ? I had a much better day only out of sheer prayer and utter will, but a better day as it was, actually pretty glad it's coming to a close. Have you seen the sunrise lately ? It was a brilliant shade of orange this morning. I try to wake kenny up to look at htem as I never know when he will see his last. The moon was magnificent this past week as well. I so don't want August to draw to a close. I AM NOT READY FOR SEPTEMBER! That brings cooler nights and mornings and a lot of fog in the morning. And canning of tons of tomatoes ! The old song "a one ton tomato" is no joke. When canning the first few years of our marriage I would cry because there would be about a wheelbarrow full or more of tomatoes or zucchini or beans ! I love my garden and I really do look forward to this time of year. But i hate to see it come to an end... I am looking forward to two weeks form now when my mom will come and be my canning assistant ! We make a good team when canning sauce. She is a great helper in the kitchen when putting jars up. Please have a good Thursday night and a good Friday too. I won't be here tomorow as it's gonna be a crazy day at the store and then it is BOC's Summer picnic in the evening. So i'll see you on Saturday! let me know youre out there. Take Care. Jenny

OKAY Enough of this depressing stuff already

Hi Friends, Enough of this crazy depressing stuff already.... I'm tired of that mess already. I would really like to run away, Kenny seems to think we would just be found and it would do us no good to run, but it sounds like an idea doesn't it ?
SO here we are to pull ourselves back up off the ground by our boot straps and plug on ! One day , a long time ago I heard a sermon series by Brent Allen of Old North Church that was entitled , Trials are tests that teach us to TRUST ! Are you trusting the Lord has your life under control ? I am really trying my best. I am sure he does have it all planned but it's hard to hang on around each and every curve. I'm growing weary I won't lie.
Let me just say at last conversation with our insurance agent there was 5000.00 worth of damage to Hol's car and she paid just a little over 4000.00. And had liability coverage only....

So on a lighter note, let me tell you where Echohill came from. It comes form not only the echo we hear as we call to the dogs , as it is also from the echo we hear in our hearts of Kenny's grandparents raising 4 girls here on our farm, This property , house and barns all hold a dear entrance to the past of many many years of happy times. I think about them as little girls playing in the house and in the yard. What promise of years to come the walls held. Do you think as a young woman Edna ever thought her oldest son and his family would live in the house she called Home ? And further more nurture his own family here? The house sits on a hill and when the wind is right and I call to the dogs out the back door I can here an echo bounce back up behind the barn ! One day Belle was furiously barking over the hill into the darkness and every bark she made echoed back at them with intensity ! Every hair on her back was standing straight up ! It was so funny , She was really "protecting us from those big dogs in the woods!!"
It is my hope you all have the opportunity to listen to the echoes of children laughing in the yard, dogs barking and playing in the yard and the sound the water makes as the well handle is pumped and the water hits the top of the well casing ! Enjoy your echo today. Love Jenny

A Tuesday much like a Monday....

Well Hi friends, What a crappy day.... Holly did indeed buy a car yesterday. Well within her price point, which was a good thing, a reputable used car dealer.... ( if there is such a thing), And a nice little Sebring LXI . 1998, 105000 miles. So today she went to Kent to continue the job hunting process and also looking for an alternative to the housing situation, when turning, was hit broadside by an oncoming SUV. Holly's car is really crunched. Not to mention her heart is smashed. Holly was sited in the accident, However me being the defensive mother, think that was unjust. Upon questioning the officer, he seemed to be wishy washy as to her fault. He suggested she plead no contest as that would not admit her guilt. The other driver was not sited either, but.......... IS this crazy or what ? Her new little car not even 24 hours old crunched and in a repair shop in Stow Ohio a hour and half away. It makes me sad. However Praise the Lord, I brought her home with me instead of the hospital. So there is allot to be thankful for. I do believe the cop wanted to site someone and Hol happened to be the lucky one due to her new nto her car and being a college student. Is the pressure of all of this ever going to ease up ? I don't' want to seem like a whiner, but enough already... Shouldn't I have gotten the lesson the Lord was trying to get my attention with or gotten the point by now ? Sure hope I "get it " sooner than later.. Please be safe and rest well this night. God Bless you all, Pray for my girl..... Jen

Friday ! haven't checked in all week

Friday here.... The week flew by and work was so busy. Just checking in to say hello. We have Weddings weddings weddings this weekend. Two of them are shades of purple and lavander, hence the lavender color of type.... Just one little thing I'd like to share with you today... Besides Go Team U S A . What a fun week of Olympics. ( however I have slept through the majority only to catcha few highlights here and there.... ) We are shopping for a car for Holly. Or Holly is shopping for a car for Holly..... What will it be like to drive my car again ? I can't wait. Know of a reasonable and decent car for my girl ? Everyone had a good old car when you don't have the money, Then when it's actually time to buy..... No one has one.... Augh ! Frustrating. School will begin on August 25. I actually think I will survive her leaving this year. Go figure that out. I know I will miss her but an hour and a half away is a whole lot closer than 5 and a half hours away !!!! Just get an education, and be safe..... The rest will be okay. I pray ~ Take care I'll try to catch up tomorow..... Jen

Monday, Monday....

Just another Monday.... Kenny had a Doctors appt in Canton and we were able to visit with his cousin over lunch. That was nice. Dr's appt was uneventful. I tell you what , If our claim of dissability is not in court or approved soon I think one or the other of us will go absolutely buzzark ! How is that spelled anyway ? You see July 6, 2006, Ken noticed he was not able to see correctly. It was as if one line of vision was available at a time as if he was reading a one line at a time eye chart. Low and behold it was an nuero opthamolic stroke. Called Eschemic optic neuritis. His diabetes and other health isuues don't help the matter but they certianly were not the cause. Subsequently the event left a residual effect of vision loss of 70% of his right eye. Remaining in the upper portion of the field of his right eye. Two years ago he had a similiar event in which he lost all but the periphary of his left eye. ...... Legally Blind . It pretty much is a frustrating thing as neither occurance were connected to the other, the result is simply unfortunate, and sad. We don't know if one day it will all be gone, the vision in his right eye that is, of course we both believe the LORD is capable of healing his vision and restoring it. What a testament that would be. I'm Waaaaaiiiiitttttiiinnngggg...... He is too for that matter. This has been one of the most ardgious proscesses we have ever been through. Every Doctor we meet says it is a text book case of legal blindness. However he has been denied 3 times now. Now we have hired an attorney and he assures us we do indeed have a case. However we have to wait for the system to schedule a hearing, and pray that this time it is approved and Ken would br elidgable to recieve disability benefits. I sure hope so. Sooner than later..... It's a hard yukky situation to be in. Last November he gave up his drivers license. Unable to work a regular job as we are limited in how much $ he can bring home, So he is working 2 days a week for a great company... We are blessed.

I just had to step away for a few minutes as I had to watch Michael Pheps swim as well as Pearsol and Greevus win gold and silver 1 2 in the 100 Back. I love swimming...... These athletes are amazing. God Bless you this Monday.... Go U S A Swimming !!!! Isn't it exciting ? ~Jenny

sweet summertime tried again.......

Well for whatever reason I screwed up yesterdays publish and I am here this morning to try to say again what I was trying to say yesterday.... Technology and I try but I treid to add a beautiful sunset picture and failed. Upon failing I published the first sentence and lost three paragraphs.... I'll try to paraphrase and make my point a little clearer and a little better.
I wanted to explain about my Bible Study friends. We are a group of girls who have met now for a few years. We all are friends and all have the same desire to grow in our walk , and understand scripture, and of course be there for one another through life's changes. We are just that , I am so Blessed with my Tuesday night girls. We have grown into dear friends, and we share life! Yesterday I worked all day but the evening was reserved for Margaret and Craig. ( friends from Bible study)
They invited us to a picnic and a little Blue Grass concert at their home. It was a sweet summer evening, pleasant and pretty. The clouds have been so beautiful lately, summer is glorious ! We sat on the front yard , playing with Margaret's grandchildren and visiting with " special friends" . Of course eating wonderful food as well. But how special it is to spend that kind of time with loved ones. The Lord knows just what we need and how he often gives it to us is through our friends.... One at a time , or in abig group. I am truely blessed with a Best Friend and time spent like that is all the more sweet when I can spend an evening with her. ( and her husband too)... Melda and I have been freinds for about 13 years or so I guess, and oh the stories I must one day share..... But for now let me say that an evening spent with friends is wonderful. Healing for the weary soul. Pleasantly sweet. Perfectly ripened as a Precious Peach!
Unfortunately Melda and I live about 45 miles from each other, so we oftem meet in between.... Last night it was MArgaret's front yard ! Hahaha... Summer is sweet. Be Blessed today my friends and know I appreciate you !

8.8.08 What a cool date

Today I chose the color blue as it the first day of the Olympics. I love to watch the pomp and circumstance as I am really a patriiotic person. Thanks to my dad.... The king of heart felt patriotism. We have been looking forward to this day for months in our house. I am glad Kenny enjoys this as much as I do. Holly too, I always aspired to be an "olympian" as a child. Never made it even remotly close, But always an American childhood dream ! History in the making I am sure this Bejing Olympics will prove. Can you immagine what this will do for the morale of the average Chinese working "man" ? I wonder what will become of these people a few months after the games ? Will this acknowledgement of the world change their daily life ? What will the result be ? I am still getting use to the idea of sharing my ramblings with you all . Please feel free to leave me a commment as I would like to "entertain" as well as inform. Please be Blessed this evening. Enjoy the Olympic opening ceremony. Love ,
Jenny
