Friday Night, and I just want to go to bed.

Hi How ya doin' ? Seems as though I'm tired, very tired, a little frustrated and a little tired of being cold. I am the first to say how beautiful winter is and how I love being in Ohio to enjoy all 4 seasons, seems though I'm growing a little weary of being COLD ! Kenny does a good job of keeping the fire burning in our out door wood burning furnace, however we have run out of good split firewood. Hence burning slab wood, just doesn't burn as hot as normal wood. Every year I say we don't have enough wood prepared, His typical comment is "oh we'll be fine," Ya if it weren't -5 ' for a week at a time. So if youre bored and wanna play outside come on down and cut wood with Kenny. ! I struggle with him cutting on his own any how asw I worry he would not see an accident happening before it was too late and then what would he do if he were home alone and without help. Chainsaws are beasts that can bite unexpectidly!
We both got so STUCK in the drive last night. I got the Aztec stuck then Kenny got the truck stuck trying to get me out. What a mess. Looked like we had been 4 wheelin' as I went to the carwash in Columbiana this morning. The neighbor cam e up with his tractor and saved me. Not until I shoveled for around an hour. Long enough to make my back sore today. Then 3 walks up to the house through the crusty frozen snow... whew hat a night. Almost 8 :30 we had oatmeal and raisins for dinner.... Long night then i was restless trying to sleep because I was so cold and uncomfortable. Vegetable Soup is on the menu for Saturday ! I'm excited.... Love Ya ~ Good night....

A Good Tuesday Night at Bible Study

Are You Warm this cold night ?

I'm trying to be warm but I'm just not ! Kenny has a fire going in the furnace, but I'm having a hard time getting warmed up. Yesterday was so pleasant almost 40', However I think God is just laughing at us as we think it's so warm we are psyched into thinking spring is around the corner.... NOT! Still January ! Anyhow hi, hope this finds you well. We are having a hard time keeping our DSL up, seems as though there's too much static on our lines. We have the filters on all the phones, but it is still not quite right. Poor Earl our ATT tech, Kenny is pestering the poor guy to death I'm afraid. Like he's able to care about us up here on our hill ! It's Bride time at Something New ! Kind of refreshing in a way . For now, by September I'll be OVER THE BRIDES! God bless Joe Mineo, he meets with all of them. Sometimes we do too, usually it's just him though. I love when they say what do you like ? Honey I've been married twice and had two wedding ceremonies of my own , you won't like what I like as I'm twice your age and can make a decision on my own !
My other favorite is "did you make that ?" No.... my favorite response is oh I bought it at Giant Eagle ! They look at me puzzled and say oh. .... If it's a pie, sloppy joes or a beautiful bouquet. Giant Eagle is my typical response. Just one more little tidbit......3 bridesmaids are enough! 11 are too many ! 16 is entirely too MANY! Ha HA that's my soap box for today! Friday Night!

Hi Friends ! It has been a BUSY week for us . So good to be home, in jammies , warm and cozy. Kennys watching Dirty jobs with Mike Rowe and I just couldn't go "there". How ya doin' tonight ? Been really busy at work getting ready for Sunday's Bridal Show for work at Mr Anthony's. Should be quite beautiful. We have all been busy working on bouquets and the like. my friend brenda is so dear and special to me, I worked with her for years at Mum's the Word. Now however she works with us. Truely a delight to have her, She's much like my mom, as I grew up and went through school with her kids. Anyhow now she is suffering with old aching hands that don't work so well. It makes me sad 'cause I wonder whole will tighten up my bouquets and corsages when I'm in my 60's? We tell her there's glue on things and I don't think she can even see the strings. :(

She is a great floral designer I appreciate her eye and her expertise. I 'm just a little worried who will help me when I'm her age? My hands and arms ache now, what will it be like in 20 years ? Will I still be poking flowers in a pot ? Sometimes I hope so and often I hope I'm not doing it next week! Haha. Know what I mean though ?


We are good. Prasie God from whom all blessings flow. kennys first monthly reimbursment was deposited into our checking account Tuesday ! Praise the Lord! I am finially current on my mortgage after 2 1/2 years ! I can't begin to tell you what a relief that was to pay up. I havent' missed a payment all this time however I have stadilly been one month behind . Soooooo.... Nowwwwww..... I'm absolutely and positively CURRENT . I owe Citi Financial ZERO dollars till February 18 ! Thank You Jesus ! I wanted to kiss the tellar but I didn't t hink she'd understand. It felt so good to get them caught up ! Next month my house payment will apply to the principle ! Can You believe it ? I still can't . I am eagerly awaiting the "big check" Then I'll really be ecstatic. but for now this has been a humungous relief ! Be Blessed this night . Love You. Jenny

Snick says Hi!

Hi from Snicky, perched up on his picnic table. The snow the snow the beautiful blanket of white. Thank you Lord the temp is rising. Just now coming home tonight it was a balmy 16'. Much improved form the -5' of this am on my way to work. We went to Midway Mennonite to help Elva celebrate her 80th Birthday ! What great fun we had! Painted some pottery with my friend Jen form Clay with me, we ate some scrumptious deserts, and enjoyed some lovely dance and music. All the things elva loves we all were able to enjoy. What a fun evening. Sitting back watching our nephews makes me realize we aren't getting any younger ourselves. The boys are growing up so fast. Seems like yesterday they were ramming and playing around as toddlers...
Where does life go as we look around and it's flying past at such a whirl. When Kenny and I married - Holly was 7. The boys were 4, 2 and not born yet ! Handsome young men they are now. As Holly has turned into a beautiful woman. I shake my head to think that I was married by the time I was her age....................
Oh my.............. Let's not think about that................

Isn't he cute perched up on that table in the snow ? I hope tomorrow is not so bitter cold that I might take some new pictures. I want to show you around to some of my favorite places here on the farm.

A Smile Costs nothing, but it gives so much. It enriches those who receive, without making poorer those who give. It takes but a moment, but the memory of it sometimes lasts forever. A smile creates happiness in the home, fosters good will in business, and is the countersign of friendship. It brings rest to the weary, cheer to the discouraged, sunshine to the sad, and it is nature's best antidote for trouble. Yet it cannot be bought, begged borrowed or stolen, for it is something that is of no value to anyone until it is given away. Some people are too tires to give you smile. Give them one of yours, as no one needs a smile so much as he who has no more to give ! Smile today and see if you get one back !

hello is anybody out there~

Hello is anybody ever gonna post a comment? Is anybody out there ? Am I all alone on this snowy hill ? I can stand today , and I can lay down, sitting is not so comfortable. I wonder if there's anything else going on in there or is it just a really terrific back spasm ? Doctor ? ? Hmmm???? Hope not . I hope I can get it together to go to work tomorrow. I can't afford to be off . But I do need to be able to function. Holly and Michael come home from Calli tomorrow night, I hope they can fly in okay with all the snow... Yuk, Don't like the thought of landing on an icy runway. However I do like the snow very much. If I was able to ambulate I would have been out with my camera today to capture pictures of the beautiful blanket of white. I think we got another 4 " just today. If your keeping track we are somewhere about a foot ! Today I made Kenny put more bird seed in the feeders, Those poor little puffy feathered friends are probably starving ! I was watching them pick flower seeds off of the straggling garden remnants that are standing woefully above the snow, weeds , sunflowers, and tomato stakes with peek id skeletons of tomatoes vines hanging on by the rags I tied them on with. But the little feathered friends were happy atop all the snow hopping form plant to plant picking at their feasts. Isn't God amazing he created a world of intricacies that all have to work together to actually work. Like me leaving my garden pathetically not turned over, but its helping the birds ! Who know , The LORD. , He knew those little birds would need something in January. Ha, Any how, Hope you are warm and well, and your back doesn't hurt. What a Beautiful "present"

Hi Friends haven't been here for what seems like forever, Our DSL is now up again, Hopefully for good. Now I have a "nother" new email address. It is jennysramblings@yahoo.com I think anyway... Kenny set it up for me today, and I have been very laid up in a prone position either on the floor or the couch all day long. Icing my very painful and spasming back problem. I had a treatment with Dino this AM at 8. He didn't think I could effectively work, (neither did I ) so home I came to take ibuprofen and ice my back every hour for the whole day. I had a terrific ladies night out at the Inn. That is the Dutch Inn, I taught water aerobics and upon doing so I had a little problem as I sat in the hot tub after each time and then inflaming the problem area further and then sitting in the jacuzzi bath tub didn't help matters as I really caused inflammation. By this AM i could hardly get dressed to get to Dino's , I called him on the way in and cried of my problem so he was ready for me .... Dino is such a good guy, we prayed the whole first half hour I was in there. This too shall pass, but I have sure never had a situation like this before ! About the weekend at the Inn , Let's have a cup of tea and I'll tell you all about it....

Icy blue is the color of the water color Iris I painted with the artist Barbara Johnson, She was there and snowed in the second day too. One of my new friends , Gerri , read a short story to us about the Perfect Precious Present. And the story was so appropriate for our weekend an meant so much. It's about learning to find our Present Situations the most perfect of gifts. I look at it as a gift from my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The Precious present is not something that can be bought or sold, cant be given to anyone else it has to be discovered right here right now and in our own reality. We laughed and laughed and cried and tried to knit -that's another day's story !! We ate well and we decided that the Friday night event is great fun , but the snow day following is the greater day. I met some new friends that I know will be forever friends, Shared the weekend with Melda, my dearest and best friend and Grace, our dear Bible Study and long time friend. I t was so good to learn to bead with Rita, My bracelet is lovely , a little too long, Gloria told me it was long enough but oh no I had to keep on adding beads! I learned to bead earrings, A few hobbies I really enjoyed but don't want to buy supplies to do them at home as I have so many hobbies i need to accomplish already started right here at home ! We did aerobics in the beautiful pool. I f you need a getaway please consider the Dutch Inn Just down the road but so warm and inviting. What a blessing I received, words can't describe. I really needed to escape our home for a little R & R. So good for my weary soul.
Ronnie came down and helped Kenny get some firewood. When I got home Sunday our fire was out and there wasn't enough wood for the night. ( might be another straw that broke this camel's back) so we are warm once again. Suppose to be quite the week of winter weather. So I hope to lumber into the shop tomorow, we'll see if I can get down the steps in the morning to shower.... Ha ha. , Please know I have missed this month not blogging so I'll try very hard to get back into the groove. I have missed you all. Love you. -Jenny

Hi Guess What ?

Hi Guess What ? Kenny & I have DSL. It has taken three weeks and here we are finally on line through our new ATT DSL line. Please note our physical email address will now change to jkwehr@att.net. So please make a note of that. I'll try to figure out how these new technological advances will help me in my blogging efforts. I hope you all had a very special Christmas and New Years celebrations . We did. Very busy with work and all but still very nice. I can't wait to play catch up with you all s I haven't been online forever ! I'd like to suggest a movie if you haven't rented it or seen it as yet, Mamma Mia. You will certainly laugh and maybe cry but you will surely smile and want to sing out loud ! Holly and I watched it on New Years Day. Ken tried, he wasn't particularly amused and I think ended up playing solitaire! Bah Humbug! He isn't able to enjoy a good musical, isn't that sad?
Not too much going on, I teach Sunday School tomorrow. Looking forward to that, and then I 'm going up to Kent to spend time with Holly, Believe I'm gonna do her laundry, all of her laundry. She's getting ready to go on vaca to Cali, so I thought while she's finishing up at the news stand tomorrow , I'd get her laundry done so she can pack and come home without much stress. It's the one sure way I can spend time with her, We are missing each other due to my stupid work schedule.
She and Michael are going to Cali to visit her Dad and Linda his wife, I think it will be fun for them to go and get warm, and see the sights. I don't think Michael has been out there. I am jealous, not of visiting her dad, but getting away !! I need to get WAY AWAY ! For a few days, I am looking forward to a real vacation when we get caught up after these past two years of sliding through life. Kenny was awarded a favorable decision by Judge Manny Smith in the Pittsburgh Federal Court House. Yea, However there still is no reimbursement check, coming , we know how much it will be but still not here yet.... Should be eminent I think , but could be up to another month. Keep praying for us, God has shown great mercy to this point with the creditors, but my patience is wearing thin and I just want to get these friends and family paid back. I don't like "owing" , and i worry about the big hospital bills and the property taxes. Even the little bills but those are the ones I go to bed praying about and the ones I wake up praying bout. Well it is Soooooo Gooooood to be back online, I need to go , but for now please know I love you and miss you..
