Kinda sad today....

Hi friends, Just wanted you to know that although I try to be a really happy and up beat person, I'm a little or ok allot sad this day. Nothing really specific just some pinched feelings. That is not something that will kill me instead hurts a little while and makes me feel like I've been sucker punched in the belly. I thought when we as women matured to adult hood it would not be so easy to be catty and unkind. Guess we just grow more vindictive and then our pains cut just alittle deeper. I just thought that at 42 I wouldn't' worry about the she saids and so on.... Makes me sad and a little blue.....
I am missing Holly too today. Our new phone schedule hasn't worked into a convenient routine time to talk yet. So we need to get that figured out.
We had a lovely ladies' night out with friends form the Gate tonight. I was in charge of the desert at a friends home. She so hospitably provided the place and I brought the desert. Tonight's' desert menu included a lovely fruit salad , topping of yogurt and cool whip, and a Willie Wonka Chocolate fountain. YUM ! Oreos, strawberries, bananas, vanilla wafers, pirouettes, marshmallows, pineapple, potato chips and pretzels.... Much fun some of the girls were drizzelelrs as well as some of the girls were smotheres! Fun to visit a bit , laugh a bit and enjoy Lexi's hot tub in the rain . 'Till it began to thunder and lightening. Lovely while it lasted.... Be Blessed tonight, worship our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ tomorrow and know that no matter what happens it's how we serve him that matters. ~jenny

Quiet Thursday....

Hi Friends, It's a quiet Thursday night. I have been picking up the house and doin dishes since I got home from work today... I miss my Holly who would be able to help me out a bit when I needed her to. Kenny does.......Need I explain ? It just is not the same way we find things. I have the need for him to get a few things accomplished for me that are "men's jobs" and he says where does it say which are men's and which are women's responsibilities ??? Ha. In my brain the trash, mowing and putting power steering fluid into the truck are men's things. Along with running the vacuum and occasional dishes are nice. However not often anticipated. I am afraid his hands will surely fall off if the touch dish water. No he helps me do the dishes occasionally. I love that he and I are so , shall I say Okay since Holly left. It is a different way with out her at home, Bitter Sweet. I miss Hol desperately, but I'm surviving. I think about her continually. I am praying for her diligently. Her safety, wisdom and JOY. It is so important to be able to find the JOY when there seems such monotony. She started serving at Applebees now. Busy Busy Busy. Knowing Hol she'll excel as she needs to be extremely busy. Down time is enjoyed however not possible ! Any How.... Be Blessed this night. Pray for my computer blogging friend Jane. She is suffering with serious problem's, and under going chemo. Just pray for her . Thank You.... Jenny

I chose a pretty autumn color for my print today, I thought you might enjoy as it is a rich cinnamon color. Today is my last day off, OFF for a while as things are beginning to get into full swing at the shop for the next three months. Never a down time. We have a humungous batmitzvah and an even bigger wedding coming with the usual every day craziness there also. Rumor has it the wedding may be filmed for "E" Platinum weddings and be shown on cable. The couple isn't sure they want their most delicate and precious day spent with cameras in their faces. I can understand. So I'll let you know. It is the same day as several local high school homecoming dances .... so Me being the corsage lady i won't be traveling to cleveland to help on the day of the wedding. Someone has to stay behind. sad..... Well I have accomplished cleaning clothes out of my dresser and closet , I have been blessed with a friend who loves to share her handme downs with me. I love it too however I need room to put stuff. Who else do you know has size 11 feet ???? I love her shoe selection. Thank God for her as I would surely be barefoot and naked if it weren't for her generosity.... Hey enjoy this pretty fall day. Be Blessed and maybe I'll see you at the pool tonight. Love YA! Jenny

A beautiful fall day retried

Seems As though I 'm not having any success staying on line with a good connection tonight. I just wrote a nice entry and had a hard time spell checking it and then getting it to post. In a nut shell had a great dinner with Holly last night i made her good comfort food. She was happy as was Kenny and me too. We had a great visit. She raided my pantry and took some peach butter, pears and sauce. She also had leftover chicken pot pie from dinner and seemed so happy. I m happy she's happy. Well adjusted and making some new friends and of course using her brain. The car mess is just that. Holly's no contest plea in court ended up a $191.00 fine , 2 points on her licensee and 3000.00 worth of damage to her cute little Sebring. Sad.... We are going to have to have it fixed... Big Red is still rollin' praise the Lord 'cause she has the Aztec still. It's always somethin'. Continue to pray toward the November 7 hearing for Kenny's SSDI. It needs to go through! I can't continue on this path if it doesn't. Thanks for your prayers. I appreciate it . Love to you all. Jenny

Well Hello there !

Hi Friends,
I haven't been here for a few weeks ! Things have been quite hectic around here. Work ... Of course and then.... A Hurricane ! Hurricane Ike blew through Eastern Ohio Sunday afternoon/ early evening I just got power this afternoon ! YEA ! Amazing how much I think I'm a country bumkin who can rough it through anything. Um No, Not so much, I am a weiner who needs running water and a hairdryer. HA . We are blessed to have a pump spring about 500 yds back in the woods, however, the brush hog mower died this summer and that 500 yd walk now is accompanied by waist high soy beans and various briars and brambles, and carrying two 5 gallon buckets is not such an easy task, full that is.... We survived, I boiled water on the grill to wash my face with, we showered at Edna and Ralph's ..... In line as Ronny and Dawn didn't have power either, ,,,, This time with out power wasn't my fault. Usually the power is turned off as I have failed to pay the bill, this time I had nothing to do with it ! My friend Kathy in Texas didn't have any reprucussions from the storm, and we had now electric for 4 days... My whole fridge is gone, the contents therien any how. I took the frozen stuff over to Mom and Dad's as well. What a crazy week. Well Not alot of time , Just wanted to check in. I'll be back into the grove soon. Look forward to chatting with you then. God Bless. Be Safe,,, Jenny

Hi Friends, Yeas it has been a week almost since I have been here. Sooooooo Much going on.... Lets' see if I can catch you up to my speed....Well Danielle's wedding was amazing . I will try to publish a picture or two soon. Holly moved into her new home for the 2008-2009 School year at Kent State. She will be one of 5 girls in a big old home near campus. I was able to meet several of the girls yesterday. I like them allot. I think it will work out well. One of the girls has a Kitten . I know "eva" will be a great ice breaker for Holly. Mom, Kenny , Mike & I moved her in yesterday. I think I went up and down the steps 5000 times. Her room is cute , It seems safe. I can't believe how much better we do when she isn't living here. It is kinda like the good old days when she is not at home. I can't figure it out. Well the republican national convention is on so I must go and watch. I am missing you and I will try hard to get back to you very son! Take care, Love you and PEACE to you. Jenny
